Passion for German Shepherds

I fell in love with German Shepherds in my teens because of their intelligence, loyalty, and beauty.  I worked in vet clinics in high school, and the only dog that ever bit me was a German Shepherd. 

I got my first Shepherd, Zeke, when I got my first house after college.  Zeke had hip dysplasia, and required surgery by age 4.

My love and passion for the breed inspired me to become a breeder, and the negative experiences I have had drive me to improve the quality of dogs here in the U.S.  I founded German Shepherds vom Nutzenhof in 2018.  Nutzenhof means "useful kennel" in German, and reflects my philosophy of staying true to the working heritage of the German Shepherd Dog.  We do our best to follow the German method and philosophy of breeding, and try to stay true to the breed standard.  

I was fortunate to be able to handle a Hungarian import as a police K9, and my partner "Uby" is the foundation sire for our kennel.  We look forward to meeting you and providing you with a companion that will enrich your life.
